Announcements
APS and ADN Holiday Schedule 2023
Autodesk Platform Services API and Autodesk Developer Network support will be closed Saturday December 16, 2023 through Tuesday January 2, 2024, inclusive for the annual Autodesk winter holidays. Please submit any outstanding questions by December 8 to ensure you receive a timely response.
Autodesk University 2023 Highlights
That's a wrap! Autodesk University 2023, one of the most highly anticipated events in the world of design and make, took place from November 13-15 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hosted at the Venetian Convention & Expo Center, the event brought together developers, industry professionals, and innovators from around the globe.
This year's event featured an extensive lineup of workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities. Don't worry if you weren't able to attend live because what happens in Vegas, didn't stay in Vegas. Many of the AU 2023 sessions will be availabe on the AU website soon. Stay tuned for details! We are happy to announce the general availability of Parameters API! The Parameters API lets you store and manage parameter definitions in the cloud. Currently, Parameters Service is available in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Library feature and Revit 2023 and above. Parameters API is a technologys used to build Parameter Services feature in those products and allows you to access and exten the parameter definitions programmatically. Learn more on our blog.
ACC Project Admin API: Project Creation and User Management
We are excited to announce the general availablity of Autodesk Constrution Cloud (ACC) Project Admin API for project creation and project user management. Using the new API endpoints, you can now create a project either from scratch or from a template and add/update/remove users in a project. Whil adding a user, you can also assign products with appropriate access level. Learn more on our blog and register to attend a webinar on December 13!
AEC Data Model APIs-Public Beta
Autodesk has been working towards realizing its vision of providing a leading platform for better Design & Make data management across the different industries we serve using Autodesk Data Models. After running exclusive private beta programs with select AEC customers and incorporating their valuable feedback, our newest Data Model for the Architecture, Engineering & Constructio industries, the AEC Data Model is now available in Public Beta! The AEC Data Model breaks up monolithic AEC files like .rvts and .dwgs into valuable bits of granular data that are managed on a secured cloud. That granular, object-level data is then made accessible via easy-to-use APIs. Check out this blog to learn more and to join the public beta.
Call for feedback-NodeJS/TypeScript SDK Beta
Autodesk is looking for feedback on the Beta version of new SDKs for Data Management, Model Derivative and Webhooks APIs. The packages are built in Typescript. Participate in the call for feedback here.
Autodesk Developer Network joins with Autodesk Platform Services
On November 9 the Autodesk Developer Network "Open ADN" content migrated into the Autodesk Platform Services Developer Portal. the ADN Memeber site (content ADN members access via a login) remains the same, but the link is now found on the ADN membership page. Increasingly, the disctinction betwn desktop and cloud developmet is blurring, and we went to assist this transition by unifying developer resources, so that you can focus on connecting data, teams, and workflows regardless of the products, tech stacks or vendors involved.
