AEC Data Model API is now generally available

General Availability of AEC Data Model API is Here!

With the release of the AEC Data Model API, we’re introducing a new paradigm in which data can be accessed either via files or at a granular level–the underlying data that makes up a model or a file at the most elemental level is often referred to as granular data. The AEC Data Model API is the first deliverable of a broader granular data ecosystem we’re building–called the AEC data model–that seeks to improve data quality and eliminate the bulky file-based exchange of data. Navisworks connector for Autodesk Data Exchange now in Public Beta

The Autodesk Data Exchange has expanded its ecosystem with the addition of a Navisworks Connector. This new connector allows for the loading of exchanges generated from various design authoring applications supported by Data Exchange. This addition facilitates the coordination of subsets of your data and enables the aggregation and visualization of these subsets in Navisworks. Check out this blog post for more info.

ADN Update: New API Support ticket logging feature coming to the ADN member portal 

For ADN members, we are introducing a new way to log your API support requests! This feature will be on July 15th.   Find out more

Revit 2019 engine will be removed from Design Automation list on Sept 15, 2024

Are you still using the Revit 2019 engine to process your design automation workitem job? If so, please take some time to migrate your app to a later version. The Revit 2019 engine will be removed from Design Automation list on September 15th, 2024. Learn more.

Access the App Store from Autodesk Forma

Did you know that Autodesk Forma users are able to add extensions from the App Store directly in Forma?  It’s true! This powerful feature makes it even easier to expand and customize the Forma experience. Now when developers build apps using the Forma API and publish on the App Store they reach even more end users with their applications. EvolveLAB

EvolveLAB provides design technology services for AEC clients, helping them transition to data-driven design and computational construction for more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable building design strategies. To speed visulation processes, EvolveLAB created Veras, an AI rendering tool that empowers architects to leverage AI for design ideation. EvolveLAB used the Forma API to connect Veras with Autodesk Forma schematic design workflows, bringing AI-assisted iterative rendering into the early stages of project creation. Learn more
