Chetu is a US-based software development company that provides businesses worldwide with custom technology solutions. As an application development company with more than 1,400 skilled software developers, Chetu combines technological expertise on the Forge platform, specific domain experience in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) and real estate, and passion for excellence to deliver specialized technology solutions for business challenges.

Challenge

In charge of filling 63,600 square feet of contiguous space in a brand-new office building in Plantation, FL, Plantation Professional Plaza LLC turned to Chetu for help. Chetu was tasked with creating a platform that architects could use to show visual representations of the proposed building design to stakeholders for design approval. Those visual representations would then need to be used to facilitate collaboration between Chetu’s developers, designers, and the architect to bring the vision to life. Finally, real estate agents needed 3D models of the building specs that they could showcase to prospective tenants. Chetu turned to the Forge platform to find a way to bridge communication internally and externally, and to accelerate production workflows between Chetu’s own designers and developers and the firm’s clientele of architects, engineers, and real estate brokers.

How Chetu solved it with Forge

Forge gave Chetu the ability to upload and manage 3D objects in a cloud environment to run conversion jobs, retrieve thumbnails, download or delete files, create new buckets, as well as showcase files in Viewer. This helped optimize Chetu’s workflows by facilitating real-time 3D collaboration between a globally distributed team of designers, developers, and project managers from start to finish. The final model was uploaded to Plantain Professional Plaza’s website to let real estate agents easily showcase the proposed space (with its custom build-out options) to attract businesses.

Chetu used the Forge platform to do the following:

Cut development time by up to half, centralize data storage, and win more business from existing customers.
Optimize project timelines to provide a centralized workspace for designers and developers, as well as bridge communication with the client and the architect.
Provide models that were easily accessible and readily available on multiple devices.
