Data Exchange Connector SDK - Public Beta

Data Exchange Connectors are used to exchange data using plug-ins tailored to the tool you use and the sharing patterns that support your cross-app and cross-team workflows. Autodesk is building a collection of connectors, currently available in the Autodesk AppStore, and vote for new connectors here. The Data Exchange .NET SDK (Software Development Kit) is a development kit that enables you to build Connectors for Autodesk and non-Autodesk applications, including custom enterprise applications using the prebuilt components of the SDK. The SDK can be further extended to build custom Connectors for a more distinct requirement. Check out this blog to learn what you can do and to join the public beta.

Unifying the Developer Ecosystem: A New Documentation Landing Page on the APS Developer Portal

Developers on the Autodesk Platform Services Developer Portal can now enjoy a more user-friendly experience with the new and improved documentation landing page. With this new design, developers can find documentation for all Autodesk cloud and desktop products as well as platform APIs such as Authentication that they rely on daily. This update is part of our overall initiative to unify the developer ecosystem by merging all desktop and cloud developer resources into a single portal. Learn more here.

Call for feedback: Design Automation for Revit with Dynamo

Autodesk is working to include Dynamo as part of Design Automation for Revit. That would allow developers to start an automation to open a Revit file, execute a Dynamo graph script, and access the results. The existing Design Automation features would be available, multiplying the possibilities for automations. Participate in the call for feedback here.
