Webhooks: Backend System Upgrade and IP Addresses Change

Default blog image

Autodesk is planning to upgrade the backend system for Webhooks in April 2023. This will be done without any downtime of Webhooks services.

The IP addresses used by Webhooks will be different following this upgrade; however, since we have never published the IP addresses used by Webhooks, we do not expect any issues arising from such changes.

As a reminder, Webhooks employs a mechanism to support verification through tokens: You specify a secret token that we use to sign the payload of the callback. You can then verify for that signature found in the headers portion of the published callback message request.

Please refer to the following for details:

Action Required

While we do not publish the IP addresses used by Webhooks and therefore do not expect any reliance  on them, if your current Webhooks implementation depends on IP addresses, we encourage you to implement the token-based verification method by the dates identified below, or to contact us as soon as possible at aps.help@autodesk.com with the title "Webhooks IP address change inquiry".

The following are the dates set for upgrade and IP addresses change:

  • April 20th, 2023 - Prod EMEA cutover
  • April 27th, 2023 - Prod US cutover

If you encounter any issues or have any questions about this upgrade, please contact aps.help@autodesk.com with the title "Webhooks IP address change inquiry".
