From Two Days to Two Minutes: How Khansaheb Turned Model Data into Commercial Intelligence

Each week, discipline-specific models are brought together and structured model data is published automatically to Microsoft Power BI. Commercial teams can open a dashboard they’re already comfortable with and explore up-to-date quantities—doors, slabs, blockwork, structural elements—without opening Revit or waiting for the BIM team to prepare another export.

The impact on speed has been hard to ignore. According to Khansaheb, tasks like sheet production, which used to take up to two days, now take less than two minutes—a reduction of more than 99%. Coordination issues that previously took over an hour can now be resolved in under ten minutes. Complex model-data calculations that once required days of manual work can be completed in less than a minute.

But the benefits go beyond faster reporting.

Giving commercial teams direct access to current model data changes how information moves through the project. Decisions can be made sooner, questions can be answered without waiting for a specialist, and errors or missing information are more likely to be spotted early. As more teams use the data, they also help improve its quality.
