[Guest Blog] Ideate Software at Forge DevCon 2019

This is a guest blog submitted by David Hayes, Director at Ideate. Ideate Software will attend Autodesk Forge DevCon 2019 in Las Vegas on November 18, 2019. The company will also have a booth located in the Village area of the event, showing off their work on connecting Ideate Explorer , their application for fast Revit data discovery, with the BIM 360 platform.

David Haynes, Director, and Stephanie Fitzgerald, Software Developer, will represent Ideate Software's research into applying the Forge APls, particularly Design Automation, to mine, organize and visualize BIM 360 project and file information. Ideate Software's initial research explores displaying Revit Warnings as data visualization cards in the BIM 360 Project Home and Insight dashboards.

"We are excited about the Forge platform and its ability to provide value to our Ideate Software customers," said Bob Palioca, President, Ideate Software.

Technically, Ideate Software will use both the Design Automation and Data Management API, as well as the Webhooks API from Forge in their Partner Card. They also use d3 for some of the visualization, with a full-stack web application hosted on Azure with a C#/.NET backend, a NoSQL database, and a frontend built with JavaScript and jQuery.

Stop by their booth to see their work featuring the integration between Warnings Manager for Revit warnings and the Autodesk BIM 360 platform.
