Forge Online Bootcamp: September 2021
Let us invite you to another installment of the Forge Online Bootcamp that will take place on September 13-16 as one of the pre-events of the Autodesk University 2021.
What is it?
Forge Online Bootcamp (sometimes also referred to as Forge Online Training) is a hands-on training in the basics of Forge development where developer advocates live-code different kinds of Forge applications, and answer your questions as you follow their steps.
Who is it for?
The event is recommended for software developers who are either just getting started with the Autodesk Forge platform, or looking to refresh or improve their skills in this area. Since Autodesk Forge is a cloud platform, we also assume a basic web development experience (both client- and server-side), but if you haven't done any web development and would still like to join our bootcamp, we've included a list of concepts and learning resources at the end of this blog post that will get you up-to-speed with the basics.
How does it work?
Each day of the event will be dedicated to a specific topic covered by one of the tutorials from the https://learnforge.autodesk.io website. For each topic there will be a full-day class in the GMT (UTC+0) time zone and another full-day class in the PST (UTC+8) time zone, so that you can choose the time that works best for you. Moreover, classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday will run in two parallel tracks - one using Node.js, and one using .NET - so that you can choose the programming language you're most comfortable with:
- Monday, September 13: Uploading, translating, and previewing your 2D/3D designs
- 8am-4pm GMT class for Node.js
- 8am-4pm GMT class for .NET
- 8am-4pm PST class for Node.js
- 8am-4pm PST class for .NET
- Tuesday, September 14: Accessing designs in Fusion Team, BIM 360 Docs, or ACC
- 8am-4pm GMT class for Node.js
- 8am-4pm GMT class for .NET
- 8am-4pm PST class for Node.js
- 8am-4pm PST class for .NET
- Wednesday, September 15: Customizing the viewer, and adding dashboards to your application
- 8am-4pm GMT class
- 8am-4pm PST class
- Thursday, September 16: Modifying your designs with the Design Automation service
- 8am-4pm GMT class for Node.js
- 8am-4pm GMT class for .NET
- 8am-4pm PST class for Node.js
- 8am-4pm PST class for .NET
Each class will be split into 4 segments of roughly 2 hours each. At the beginning of the segment we will live-code part of the application, and after that you can follow our steps and ask questions.
