Autodesk earns AWS Industrial Software Competency
Our own Autodesk Forge has achieved the new Amazon Web Services (AWS) Industrial Software Competency status!
The good news? This designation means that Forge has technical proficiency and success building solutions targeting one or more of the primary steps in discrete manufacturing or process industries: Product Design, Production Design, Production/Operations. These specialized software solutions help process and discrete manufacturing companies increase the pace of product innovation while decreasing production and operational costs in their value chain.
AWS established the AWS Partner Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise. To receive the AWS Industrial Software Competency designation, APN Partners undergo rigorous AWS technical validation related to industry specific technology as well as an assessment of the security, performance, and reliability of their solutions.
Achieving the AWS Industrial Software Competency differentiates Forge as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member and means we delivered proven customer success providing specialized solutions aligning with AWS architectural best practices to support product design applications and services. Ron Locklin, director of Autodesk Cloud Platform, attended AWS Transformation Day in Munich, Germany yesterday where this was officially unveiled. Ron said, “Autodesk is very excited to be part a charter partner of the AWS Industrial Software Competency launch. We have strong ties with AWS, and this expanded collaboration is a great. Autodesk has been front and center as a leader in the domain of “industrial software” for more than three decades, in the concept of “The Future Of Making,” and investments in cloud platforms, specifically in Forge, BIM 360 and Fusion 360, and we continue to reinforce that commitment.”
