APS Developer Hubs – Introducing the Developer Admin Role to Autodesk Platform Services

APS Developer Hubs

We are excited to announce the Autodesk Platform Services (APS) Developer Hubs feature to the APS Developer Portal. This new feature introduces the Developer Admin Role to the Developer Portal for better application and team management. This experience will benefit customers with large development teams or those who have multiple applications built with APS.

What are the current developer admin pain points?

Today, there is no admin role for APS, which makes it hard for developer admins to know what applications the developers are building and the token usage associated with those apps. Current challenges are:

  • Lack of visibility into development activities

  • Inadequate control and visibility over costs

  • Difficulty in managing personnel turnover

How does the feature resolve admin pain points?

  • Simpler management and control of apps built by your team: Admins can manage their applications and development teams by adding/ removing members from the hub, adding/removing apps to a hub, and transferring app ownership. The admins can also control all applications managed by their team.

  • Cost visibility and control: Admins can now view token usage for each application in a Developer Hub to understand and manage their costs efficiently.
